Changes   Using ListShards a Kinesis Data Streams customer or client can get information about shards in a data stream (including meta-data for each shard) without obtaining data stream level information.

Changes   Customers can now obtain the important characteristics of their stream with DescribeStreamSummary. The response will not include the shard list for the stream but will have the number of open shards, and all the other fields included in the DescribeStream response.
